About CarAllIn

CarAllIn exists because loan-payment calculators train people to shop the wrong number. Two cars can share a $489 payment and still differ by several hundred dollars a month once insurance, fuel, maintenance, registration, and resale are included. This site adds those lines up in the browser. There is no account, no VIN decoder, and no live insurance API.

You bring a price, a rate, and quotes you actually have. The calculator shows monthly all-in cost, cash out for the years you keep the car, cost per mile, and net cost after a resale percent you choose. A share URL stores the inputs in the query string.

What “all-in” means here

Monthly all-in is the loan payment plus insurance, fuel or electricity, a maintenance allowance, registration, and extras you typed. Sales tax and dealer fees belong in the price or down payment if you want them in the model.

Cash out is money paid during the years you own the car, including the down payment. Net cost after resale adds any remaining loan payoff and subtracts estimated resale. Selling still owing can leave you underwater.

A worked example (illustrative)

Take a $28,450 compact, $4,000 down, 6.9% APR, 60 months, 12,000 miles, 33 mpg, $3.50 fuel, $145 insurance, $550 maintenance, $220 registration, $35 extras, five years, 52% resale. The loan payment is only one bar. Insurance and fuel often rival it. Change the same commute to an EV with a higher price: the payment may rise while fuel falls. That is what EV vs gas is for. Model pages such as Honda Civic are starting inputs, not transaction prices.
