What the default represents. The price loaded here is the 2026 Camry LE MSRP plus the manufacturer's destination charge, a planning number, not a dealer quote. The MPG is that trim's EPA combined rating. Every 2026 version is a hybrid. For an older gas model, enter that year's EPA rating. Higher trims, other drivetrains, used cars, and out-the-door prices differ. Replace the price and MPG with the figures for the car you're pricing.

Compare with Toyota Corolla Compare with Honda Civic Compare with Toyota RAV4 Compare with Honda CR-V

The Camry is a midsize sedan. It has more room than a Civic or Corolla, and it usually costs more up front. Whether it costs more to own depends on fuel, insurance, and how long you keep it.

For 2026 it's a hybrid

Every 2026 Camry version listed on fueleconomy.gov is a hybrid, in front-wheel drive or AWD. EPA combined ratings vary by trim and drivetrain, with AWD and sportier trims rated lower. Use the figure for the exact trim you're pricing. If you're pricing an older, non-hybrid Camry, look up that year instead. Gas and hybrid Camrys are rated very differently.

Where the money goes

With a higher price than a compact, more of the monthly total is loan and interest, especially on a long term. A hybrid's fuel line can be smaller than a compact gas car's at the same miles. Run both and compare cost per mile, not just the payment.

Older Camrys are rated differently

fueleconomy.gov's 2024 listings include gas four-cylinder and V6-era trims as well as hybrids, with very different combined ratings. A used Camry's MPG input depends on which one you're looking at. Look up the exact year and trim.

Insurance and upkeep

Get a quote for the specific trim. Budget maintenance for the car's age and mileage if it's used. Hybrid or not, tires and insurance don't shrink with better fuel economy.

Keeping it longer

Midsize sedans are often kept for years. Set "Years you keep it" and a resale percentage from a valuation for that age, and the "Net after resale" line shows the cost of the whole stretch.

Compare a Camry with a Toyota Corolla or a Toyota RAV4 on the same miles and APR. See lease vs. buy, all-in if you're weighing a lease.

Common questions

Is this the real price of a Toyota Camry?

No. It is a starting estimate so you can see payment next to insurance, energy, and resale. Replace price, APR, and insurance with numbers from your deal. The method is explained in what a car really costs after the payment.

Can I save this setup?
